Description

Mounted combat is a skill that increases your chances to hit and damage and lets you perform abilities while mounted that you normally cannot, such as charge.

Steps

Mounted combat is a found skill acquired by completing a quest chain for Darian Ironhoof in Nordmaar.

  1. Go to Darian Ironhoof
  2. say training
  3. He sends you to Khorin Stonehand
  4. say saddle
  5. Khorin sends you to kill A prowling panther from The Great Moors and loot its pelt
  6. Go south to The Great moors, find a prowling panther, kill it, and loot a sleek panther hide from it
  7. Return to Khorin, and he will take the hide from you
  8. Khorin creates a saddle, gives it to you, and sends you back to Darian
  9. Darian examines the saddle, returns it to you, and sends you back to The Great Moors to break and tame a wild pony then bring it back to him
  10. Find a shaggy pony in The Great Moor and saddle it
  11. You have to succeed at 10 quick time events where you react to randomized events that the pony puts you through while you break it
  12. React by lean left, lean right, stirrup post, and cling tight based on what the pony is trying to do
  13. After 10 successful commands, the pony will give up and let you lead it back to Nordmaar
  14. Take the pony to Khan Khargan Swiftwind, who will offer to teach you how to use it
  15. say learn
  16. Khargan will give you the mounted combat skill
